Length
Lengths are measured straight, from the crown to the ends. Curls and waves sit shorter than the stated length.
The wig guide
Wig lengths are measured with the hair pulled straight, from the crown to the ends. Straight styles fall close to their stated length; body waves, deep waves and curls sit noticeably shorter because the pattern takes up length. If you are between two lengths and choosing a textured style, the longer option usually gives the look you have in mind.
Density describes how much hair a wig carries. Around 150% reads as natural, everyday hair; around 180% looks fuller and holds volume; 200% or more gives a glamorous finish. If fullness matters to you, email us before ordering and we will tell you what we know about a style.
Measure around your head with a soft tape: start at the front hairline, go behind the ears and along the nape, and return to the start. Most adults wear a medium cap. If you are unsure, email us your measurement before ordering.
Many wigs use lace at the front to create the hairline. Finer, more transparent lace blends more easily with the skin, and the size of the lace area tells you how much of the front can be parted and styled. Product pages list lace details only once our supplier has confirmed them in writing; ask us if you need to know more first.
Braid or flatten your own hair and cover it with a wig cap. Place the wig at your natural hairline, then secure it as described in the instructions supplied with your unit, so it feels secure but comfortable. Style the front and part as you like.
Follow the care card supplied with your unit. As a general guide, detangle gently from the ends upwards with a wide-tooth comb, wash only when it needs it with a mild shampoo and conditioner, let it air-dry on a wig stand, and store it on a stand or in a breathable bag to keep its shape.
Find your fit
New to wigs? Start here. Length, fullness and fit are what make a style feel right.
Lengths are measured straight, from the crown to the ends. Curls and waves sit shorter than the stated length.
Fullness, often called density, is how much hair a wig carries. Lighter styles read as natural everyday hair; fuller styles give volume and drama.
Most heads fit a medium cap. Measure around your hairline, and email us your measurement if you would like a second opinion before ordering.
What to look for
Natural-looking hair moves, swings and catches the light. Look at how a style falls in motion, not only how it sits.
The front edge is what people notice first. A soft, natural-looking hairline is the difference between a wig that looks worn and one that looks grown.
A secure, comfortable fit lets you forget you are wearing it. Measure around your hairline before you choose, and ask us if you are unsure.
